Flowers, tape, toast, candy, shoes—you name it. Break your monotonous pressroom routine without breaking your equipment. After two hours with Heather, this online workshop will leave you saying “YES, I can print that.”
Through experimental surfaces and found-object printing, we’ll explore unconventional ways to create line, shape, and texture. We will start by viewing a collection of finished letterpress printed pieces that incorporate experimental methods. We’ll talk about how these special effects were accomplished, and how you can recreate them. We’ll finish by demoing a few techniques in real time, accommodating questions or even requests, if possible. Things we’ll cover:

This workshop will be fun for all levels of experience, but will be especially interesting to those with a basic understanding of letterpress printing (particularly on a cylinder press).
